It’s time to get active about the future of our planet and grow rather than wither in the face of climate change. It’s time to dig in, get our hands dirty and our hearts cleansed, reconnecting to Mother Nature and her beautiful bounty. It’s time for the Eden Festival of Action.
This July, Cape Town based NGO Greenpop gives us all the opportunity to join in the treevolution. This eco-forward festival is our opportunity to get active (not anxious) about the future of the only home we know.

From workshops to tree planting, eco-education to yoga, this three week festival along the Garden Route has it all. If you’ve been hibernating too long indoors and haven’t yet caught wind, here’s all you need to know.
About the Eden Festival of Action
Bringing together top notch environmental experts and facilitators, the Eden Festival of Action is a must-do for the calendar of any conscious nature lover. There are 2 of the 3 weeks remaining:
- 29 June – 7 July Youth Week
- 7 – 14 July Adult Week
Nested between the mystical forests of Tsitsikamma Nature’s Valley near Plettenberg Bay, well known Wild Spirit Lodge provides the perfect venue for this plant honouring event. Inbetween soaking in a slower life of living in tents beneath the trees and savouring yummy nosh in nature, participants will:
- Plant trees
- Rehabilitate ecosystems
- Clear alien vegetation
- Build using eco-methods
- Set up recycling systems
- Paint eco murals
- Attend sustainability workshops
- Celebrate with live music and more
