We have been blown away by the generosity of South Africans one week into our national lockdown.

We thought it would be appropriate to share some of the incredible contributions our clients and partners have made.

Brownie Points Corporate Partners

Shoprite Group

All Shoprite Group staff received an appreciation bonus upfront as a thank you for the commitment and sacrifice that they are making to ensure citizens can buy essentials during lockdown.

Rand Merchant Bank / FirstRand Group

FirstRand Group launched the SPIRE initiative to support the Government in their efforts to rapidly beat the coronavirus. FirstRand Group, including RMB, FNB and Wesbank have already contributed R100 Million to the Solidarity Fund and supported a local foundation with R20 million to bring 100,000 Covid-19 test kits to South Africa. We know this is just the beginning of support from FirstRand Group.

Brownie Points Partners

Brownie Points launched the #BeatCoronaVirus campaign, giving all organisations a platform to showcase how companies and citizens can contribute and help make a difference.  In the first week, we have had over 50 causes loaded.

Rays of Hope

Rays of Hope is supporting the Alexandra community and have partnered with over 30 NGOs in their area to help provide essentials to those in need. They are calling for donations. You can provide a hamper to a family for R850.

Solidarity Fund

Across our country, people and organisations have offered to help. The Solidarity Response Fund is a vehicle that will be set up to facilitate this and aims to:

1. Prevent the spread of the disease by supporting measures to #FlattenTheCurve by lowering infection rates;
2. Detect and understand the magnitude of the disease; 
3. Care for those in hospital or medical care;
4. Support those whose lives have been disrupted by the pandemic.

Gift of the Givers

This campaign has been set up to source the equipment and supplies needed for the doctors, nurses and medical staff that work in the ICU’s and high-care units across medical facilities in South Africa.

Project Playground

The Covid-19 virus is detrimental to the vulnerable, possibly to those living with TB, HIV and in informal settlements. Project Playground is raising funds to help educate and support the Langa community to prevent the Covid-19 outbreak by providing essentials, such as food, soap and more.

Howlelujah Foundation

Howlelujah Foundation originally requested to find foster homes for dogs. All dogs were fostered in 3 days and are now in need of funding to keep their facilities and team in action as dogs are still abused, abandoned and neglected during the lockdown.
