It’s that time of the year. Mandela Day (18 July 2021) is around the corner. Unfortunately, this day of giving falls right in the middle of a global pandemic that affects many aspects of our lives and limits our volunteering opportunities.

So what to do? Mandela Day has always been a time of giving, generosity and going the extra mile. But volunteering has been minimised, due to restrictions to curb the spread of the pandemic.

We can help. Brownie Points has launched a Mandela Day campaign to help support nonprofits and communities, as well as provide companies, schools and everyone else with several options to make a difference. The campaign will focus on virtual volunteering, fundraising and in-kind donations to adhere to Covid-19 restrictions.

Champions are digital volunteers who invite their favourite nonprofit organisations to Brownie Points, create causes on their behalf and then share them on social media and beyond. Soon, these champions can get endorsed by nonprofit organisations to unlock extra benefits.

Engage your team

Last year, Brownie Points ran several campaigns for Mandela Day. Korbicom launched a virtual campaign and engaged 84 employees who worked remotely. HomeChoice shared the joy of giving back by tracking 20 good deeds.

Mandela Day Challenge

Why not get a team together and show the world some love by signing up for a cause on Brownie Points with your friends?
